You will need Real
Player to view these clips. George Lucas originally
planned to call the third movie in the Star Wars
Trilogy Revenge of the Jedi. I have heard two
reasons for his changing the name to Return of
the Jedi. The first is that he decided that revenge
is not a Jedi trait. I have heard that he read
a student's thesis about it, and that helped him
make up his mind. The second reason may be that
a new Star Trek movie was coming out, tentatively
called Revenge of Khan. The studios felt that
Star Wars : Revenge of the Jedi and Star Trek
: Revenge of Khan would cause confusion. (the
Star Trek movie was later titled Wrath of Khan.)
For whatever reason, or combination
of reasons, George Lucas renamed the movie Return
of the Jedi. But before he did, some nice Revenge
of the Jedi collectibles came out. I even had
an old Gramorian Guard costume that said "Revenge
of the Jedi".
