For over a thousand generations, Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic....before the dark times....before the Empire. The Force is what gives a Jedi his powers. It's an energy field created by all living things, it surrounds us, penetrates us, binds the galaxy together.

The light saber is the weapon of the Jedi and is known throughout the galaxy as a symbol of law, as a Jedi uses the force for knowledge and defense, never for attack. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster, the light saber is an elegant weapon for a more civilized way.

A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. Once one starts down the dark path, forever will it dominate their destiny, as it did Obi-Wans apprentice... Vader. The dark side is not stronger.... quicker, easier, more seductive, a Jedi knows the difference between the Light and Dark side of the Force, when calm, at peace, these are the Light side.
